Josephine Elizabeth Malone, of Schaumburg, IL, devoted daughter to William E. and Thadene (Terry) Malone. Loving sister of Kevin L. (Renee) Malone, Maureen T. Malone, Kathleen P. (Doug) Nett, William E. Malone Jr., and the late Kelly G. Malone. Dearest and Beloved Aunt Joey to Jeffrey, Daniel, Sarah, Courtney, Hailey and Great Aunt to Jeremy.

Jo was born on February 6, 1955, in Wichita, KS. She resided in many states as her family transferred through the years.

Jo was a graduate at The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts. In her 20’s and 30’s, she spent her free time doing community theater and volunteering with several organizations, especially The Junior League and PEO. She enjoyed traveling the world and loved to be joined in her adventures by family and friends.

As she advanced throughout her career, she relocated to different cities, but Jo would say her heart resided wherever her family was, in particular Dallas and Denver.

Jo passed away on June 20, 2015 in Schaumburg, IL. She will be sorrowfully missed by her family and many lifelong friends. Jo left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered, and in her absence we are left with a missing piece in our hearts.

We will gather to celebrate Jo’s life with visitation held at Horan & McConaty Funeral home located at 5305 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122 on Sunday, June 28th from 3-5 pm, concluding with a Rosary at 5pm. The following day, Monday, June 29th, a Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Parish at 8035 South Quebec Street, Centennial, CO 80112.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Association of the Mentally Ill (NAMI) or Catholic Charities of Denver.
