Jeanne Nyberg
March 19, 1929 – October 12, 2021
Orlando, Florida – Jeanne Marie Nyberg was born in Chicago, IL to Clark and Mary Ann Smith. She grew up in St Louis, MO where she graduated from high school at St Joseph’s Academy. While in college, her father was transferred to Wichita, KS where she pursued her bachelor’s degree in education at Wichita University. She married M J Nyberg in 1952 and they were married for 30 years until M J’s sudden death in 1982.
Jeanne married Bob Roberts in 1997. Bob died in December 2013.
Jeanne is survived by son, Clark (Susan) Nyberg of Lexington, KY, daughter, Teresa (Stewart) of Orlando, FL, daughter, Karen (Mike) of Truckee, CA and daughter, Ann (Chris) Mugglebee of Los Angeles, CA. In addition, she leaves grandchildren, Sean (Ivy) Nyberg, Megan (Adam) Bell, Marcus, Kaleb and Luke Rodarte, Maeve, Jack and Liam Mugglebee, along with great-grandchildren, Michael Nyberg, Nicholas, Evan, Eli, Joseph, Elizabeth and Andrew Bell.
Jeanne’s Rosary, funeral Mass and burial will be in Wichita. Her rosary will be on Tuesday, November 16 at 5:30 PM with a funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 17 at 11:00 AM. Both services will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1321 Stratford in Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanne’s memory, to Heartspring or Birthright, in Wichita, Kansas. Internment will be at Lakeview Gardens.
